Abstract
An Introductory Evaluatıon On The Meanıng Area Of The Concept Of “Guıdance” (Hıdayah) And The Perspectıve Of The Schools Of Kalam (Theology) To Guıdance
This article examines the different meanings of the concept of guidance (hidayah) in Kalam. Guidance is one of the important concepts in Kalam and is in close contact with the subject of human acts. The explanations related to the meaning of the concept of guidance in classical Kalam sources indicate that guidance is a situation that occurs in the servant as a result of the will of the servant and the knowledge and power of Allah. However, the issue of how the guidance takes place in a servant and how the actions of the servant and his/her will that guides these actions are included in the process of guidance has been a matter of debate among the schools of Kalam. In this context, each Kalam sects commented on the concept of guidance within the framework of their own views and thoughts. While Mu'tazili interpreted guidance as a metaphorical guide, Ash'ari and Mâturidi, among the imams of Ahl al-Sunnah, defined it as both a guidance and a creation. This study aims to reveal the developing meaning areas of the concept within the framework of Kalam and the interpretation of the aforementioned sects regarding the concept.
