Abstract
DEFINITION OF SATIRE AND PRAISE ON SIYER-I VEYSÎ ANNEXES OF NABI
There has been significant works in verse as much as prose in 17th Century Classical Turkish Literature. Prose writer such as Veysî, Nergisî, Kâtip Celebi and Evliyâ Çelebi are the well-known prose writer of the century. Münşeât, Fetih-nâme-i Kamâniçe, Tuhfetü’l-Harameyn, Zeyl-i Siyer-i Veysî, Zeylü’z-zeyl-i Siyer-i Veysî are the most important prosaic works of Nâbî, one of the poets and editors of 17th Century mainly consisting of letters and more than 200 different texts. In this study, adjectives, comparisons, and criticism that Nabi whose verse as well as prose is strong, used to describe Muslims and non-Muslims in his annexes to Siyer-i Veysî are discussed. Hence, the reflection of the intellectual structure of the editor and manifestation of his own perception and thinking in his tone based on the previously mentioned book of Nâbî will be determined.
