Abstract
The Effect of Typefaces to Reading Comprehension
In this research, the effects of typeface that can be used for writing textbooks on comprehension have been examined. In accordance with this purpose, in typographical categorization of typefaces and in this categorization includes 3 typefaces that is used frequently. As a result the classification of the typefaces that have chosen were “Times New Roman” that is the foremost of quotation marked typefaces and school books that have taught in schools, “Arial” that is half quotation marked, “Comic Sans” is that without quotation marked. As the result of research it is ascertained that the students that have read the texts that include the typefaces without quotation marked are better to understand that they read rather than the students that have read the texts that include the quotation marked and half quotation marked typefaces.
