The Role of Vocational School of Higher Education on the Preparation of Teaching Materials
The purpose of the study is to investigate the views of the students who take teaching technologies and material design course in pre-school teaching department about designing materials and the role of the vocational schools in designing the teaching materials. 124 students who were willing to participate in the study among 180 students who took the Teaching Technologies and Material Design course in the 2nd grade of the Department of Preschool Teaching, Faculty of Education, İbrahim Çeçen University of Ağrı participated in the study. The students stated the importance of designing materials and they indicated the importance of designing wooden toys and preparing various animations. Within the Fatih Project (Movement of Enhancing Opportunities and Improving Technology), 8 teachers were interviewed, and they particularly stated the lack of materials to be used on smart boards. Considering the content of the teaching materials, it was determined that the Program of Graphic Design, Program of Computer Programming and Program of Furniture and Decoration are related to doing so, and the importance of cooperation with these programs was also determined. What should be done is to provide the contribution of the related programs in vocational schools in designing teaching materials.
