Abstract

Anthropomorphism of Sexual Violence in Ancient Greek Pantheon
Societies that have a polytheist religious rant have a god of every element of nature and every city, and the whole of these gods constitutes the so-called Pantheon. The polytheist structure is seen in almost every society in antiquity strongly felt itself in Ancient Greece as well. Ancient Greeks who have a life intertwined with the gods are at first more humane in their traditional formats of primitive Greek gods, perhaps of desperation, with more divine qualities. In other words, the Ancient Greeks, the gods have thought and created with the action of man. Their gods are like human beings, they fall in love, are born, are angry, and revenge. Especially when creation is the subject, they make madness and make love like people. In anthropomorphic thinking, which means to describe the divine in human form, gods have passionate love or irresistible erotic feelings like humans. According to mythological descriptions; Almost all the gods of the ancient Greek pantheon have gained the goddess or mortality, usually through violence and rape, with the power given by masculine supremacy. This enforced divine sexuality has been the inspiration of ancient Greek mythology and art, as well as being created as a manifestation of the human mind's attempt to comprehend the divine.
