Abstract


The Mediating Role of Job Stress in the Effect of Perceived Organizational Support on Turnover Intention
Employees, which are the most important capital of enterprises, provide significant advantages to enterprises in an intensely competitive environment. The importance of the concept of perceived organizational support is increasing day by day. This study aims to determine the mediating role of job stress in the relationship between perceived organizational support and turnover intention. For this purpose, data were collected from 178 participants working in the insurance agency in Osmaniye province. In the analysis of the data, confirmatory factor analyses were made, correlations between the variables were determined, and the model's goodness of fit test and regression analysis were performed with the structural equation model. As a result of the analyzes, it was determined that perceived organizational support had a significant negative effect on turnover intention and job stress. It was also found that job stress positively affected turnover intention. As a result of mediation analysis, it was determined that job stress has a mediating role in the relationship between perceived organizational support and turnover intention.
