In this article, tiles of Diyarbakir Sahabeler Tomb are introduced with qualities of material, technical features and ornamentation, and their place in Anatolian-Turkish tile art is determined with comparisons. These tiles, which cover indoor wall surfaces today, having been produced with underglaze technique, are the characteristic examples of 17th Century. Deformation of color tones and glaze cracks shows a low quality production. However, design features reflect the style that was in the center of the Empire. These tiles, some of which have disappeared today because of devastation and theft, must definitely be conserved and restored. Otherwise, they will disappear before they are transferred to future generations.
